1. Every neighborhood should have a Tim & Tom's Speedy Market (2310 Como Ave., St. Paul; 651-645-7360). For such a tiny spot, it stocks a better selection than some big box supermarkets. Speedy also has a meat counter and makes deli sandwiches and salads in-house. For a cheap, easy lunch, try the "berry good" chicken salad with romaine, dried cranberries, dried cherries, slivered almonds and lots of good chicken. It's fresh, filling and only $3.29.
